Having come across a story a few months back about a young student called Alex Tew who wanted to raise money to get himself through University. Alex came up with the idea of pixel advertising, and developed a website called www.milliondollarhomepage.com charging companies that were interested in the concept $1 for each one of the million pixels on his homepage.
So I got thinking that this concept was a great way to display the links to partner ministries that we are developing, and to introduce some exhibtion space for ministries that we don't yet know to stand with us in a display of Christian Unity, no matter what tradition or size of ministry they are.
So we've got a few ministries listed, but then the site has only been there for a week or so. We'll slowly be filtering around our relationships adding links as we go.
But the concept is great to gain a sense of visual acuity, remembering where a particular logo is on the page, and then only having to remember the website, which will eventually have around 2,000 Christian Ministries listed, it's gonna be great.
Each link last for two years, you might even want to get your church to display something. We're not going down the £1 a pixel road, as this isn't primarily about raising finance, it's about displaying unity and developing relationships. So if you like the idea, why not join in.
If you want to help us promote this crazy concept there is banner below - spread the word, the faithful pixel has just arrived.
